Obituary

WEBSTER - Dorothy P. (Penkala) Dembinski, 87, of 49 Lake Parkway, died Saturday, February 9, at home surrounded by her family. Her husband of 54 years, Anthony J. “Tony” Dembinski, died in 2000.

She leaves two sons, Edward B. Dembinski and his wife Anne and John A. Dembinski and his wife Sharon, all of Webster; 7 grandchildren, Amy Panagiotou, Melanie Anderson, Sarah Phillips, Tony Dembinski, Alex Dembinski, Noah Dembinski and Jesse Dembinski; 10 great grandchildren, Jack Dembinski, Adam and Camryn Phillips, Ashleigh, Kaitlyn, Matthew and Olivia Panagiotou, and Evan, Kyle and Joseph Anderson; a sister, Agnes Mastoris of Webster; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Albert and Bernard Penkala.

She was born and raised in Dudley, a daughter of Frank and Anna (Tylka) Penkala. She moved to Webster when she married in 1947.

Mrs. Dembinski worked in the calendar towel department of Stevens Linen Associates in Dudley for many years, retiring in 1986.

She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica. She enjoyed many trips with her husband and shopping. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The funeral was held Tuesday, February 12, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a Mass in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial was in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the VNA Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
