Obituary

Annie L (Kelley) Boutin, 82, of Salem NH died on Friday, Feb 8th at Holy Family Hospital Methuen. Born in Manchester NH and educated in Greater Boston, she was a self employed housecleaner while her children were adolescents for many area lawyers and The Andover Riding Academy, N Andover. She later worked for Western Electric and Digital Equipment Corporation (NIO), retiring as a Senior Secretary for the Quality Engineering Department in Salem. After her retirement from DEC she spent several years doing child care from her home.

She learned to decorate cakes for all occasions, creating many wedding cakes for couples in the Merrimack Valley, NH, MA and NY. She earned her Cosmetology License through M Fazio Institute of Beauty Culture; then worked for her daughter at Kerry Brooke Coiffeurs in Lawrence and Salem. She was an avid reader of biographies and American history, especially the Civil War era; enjoyed seamstress activities and making afghans for family and friends. She attended and was a member of The First Congregational Church in Salem.

She devoted her life to caring for and spending time with her immediate and extended families and friends. She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn E Boutin, with whom she lived, two sons John A Boutin and his wife Roberta of Haverhill MA, Alfred L Boutin III and his wife of Salem NH, five grandchildren, Betty Ann & Patrick Holloran, Michael and Cindy Boutin, Michele Wells, Jacqueline Boutin and Jon Boutin; six great grandchildren, Erin Holloran, Veronica and Michael Boutin, Ashleigh and Jarrett Wells and Jenna Rose Boutin; a brother Donald C Kelley of Raymond NH, a sister Helen S Williamson of Cleveland GA, several nieces and nephews. Her extended family includes her beloved Anne Marie and Doug MacIssac of Mexico ME, and Peter, Joan and Joseph Waters of Salem. She is predeceased by her husband Alfred L Boutin Jr, siblings John Kelley, Edward Saul, Bertha Lupo and Dorothy Gross.

Calling hours are 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 13th at Douglas and Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH; funeral services will held at the First Congregational Church, Salem Thursday, Feb. 14th at 10:00 am; burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.
