Obituary

Wenners, George W. of Dorchester February 9, 2008. Son of the late George A. Wenners and Helen (Cooney) Wenners. Brother of the late Walter Wenners. Uncle of Claire Bartkus of Quincy. George is also survived by his grand nieces and nephews, Denise, Michael, Steven and Brian and 5 great grand nieces and nephews.


George grew up in South Boston. He was a proud World War II Navy veteran. He worked for A.D.T. for many years retiring was he was 65. He was a longtime resident of Dorchester. George was a member of the Castle Island Association in South Boston. He was an avid walker and always enjoyed walking around Castle Island. He also enjoyed horse racing and was a avid Red Sox fan. George was a friendly and social gentleman. He will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.


Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, Quincy on Monday, February 11 at 3 PM.

Burial in Saint Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury.
