WORCESTER____Catherine “Kay” Frances (Beauregard) Conley, 98, formerly of Hyannisport, died February 6 in St. Mary Health Care Center, Worcester.
Beloved aunt and godmother, Kay was born in Bondville, MA., on September 3, 1909, the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Thomas) Beauregard. She graduated from St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing, Worcester in 1928 and was a Registered Nurse for the next 40 years including working as a Registered Nurse of Surgery at Palmer Hospital, Palmer, MA., for 8 years.
In 1939 she married Arthur Conley of Millbury, MA. They were married for over 52 years until his death in 1991. They lived for many years in Millbury until moving to Hyannisport, MA in 1968 where Kay worked as a nurse in several nursing homes. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Hyannis where she was actively involved in the Church Guild and the Cenacle. She was also a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville, MA.
Kay is survived by her sister-in-law, Grace Conley of Hyannis; her nephew, Robert Hartigan of Millbury; her niece, Jean Hayes, of Sherwood, AR., several grand nieces and grand nephews including Jeffrey Hayes of San Jose, CA., James and Rose Hayes of Worcester, MA., John and Lisa Hayes of North Little Rock, AR., Kevin and Celia Hartigan of West Boylston, MA., and Kelly and Paul Lawson of Millbury. She also leaves several godchildren, including Mary Whittles, Timothy Bird, and Jeffrey Hayes.
Calling hours are Sunday February 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street. The funeral will be held on Monday February 11 from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery, Millbury.
