Mrs. Lillian F. Silva, 83 of Methuen, formerly of Medford died Wednesday in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital following a tragic accident at a Medford train station. She was the wife of the late Louis F. Silva.
Born in Boston, daughter of the late John and Angelina (DiDonta) Giangrande, she is a high school graduate class of 1942 from Boston’s North End.
In earlier years she had been employed as a stitcher working in the fabric industry making fine draperies and curtains.
She leaves a son, Stephen Silva of Scottsdale AZ. And a dear Friend, Dan Maier of Tewksbury, Sister of the late Marie Rossi, John, Louis and Frank Giangrande. Funeral from Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 9 am. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 10 am.. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family on Monday from 8:30 am. In lieu of flowers, it has been requested that contributions in Lillian’s name be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
