Grace T. (Giarusso) Brockway, 87, of 19 Mayflower Circle died
Thursday, Feb. 7 in her home after an illness.
Her husband Francis P. Brockway died in 1985. She leaves two sons Joseph
N. Brockway and his wife Catherine of Coventry, Rhode Island, Francis D.
Brockway and his wife Linda of Worcester, a daughter Katharine M. Lawton and
her husband George of Leicester, a brother Michael J. Giarusso of Worcester,
a sister-in-law Irene Giarusso of Worcester, five granddaughters Dawn Liss
and her husband David, Tina Spurr and her husband Neal, Alison, Amy & Tracy
Brockway, four great-grandchildren Katelyn & Kyle Spurr and Andrew & Jeffrey
Liss and several nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by two brothers
James and Frank Giarusso and two sisters Catherine and Rose Giarusso.
Mrs. Brockway was born in Worcester daughter of Guiseppe and Natalina
(Simone) Giarusso. She worked as a bookkeeper for 10 years at Worcester
County National Bank before retiring in 1979. She graduated from Commerce
High School. She was a former member and past president of St. Andrew's
church Women's Guild. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her
grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Monday, Feb. 11 from MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL
HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St.
Aloysius-St. Jude Church, 489 Pleasant Street, Leicester. Burial will be in
St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Sunday from 2:00-4:00 PM.
