Obituary

George Constanti, a long time resident of Dedham, formerly of West Roxbury, passed away in his home on Thursday, February 7th, he was 53 years old. George was employed as a Senior Electronic Engineer at Palomar Medical in Burlington, Mass. George contributed his professional expertise in optical engineering to assist in launching Palomar’s numerous clinical products. Prior to Palomar Medical, George was employed at Polaroid Corporation in Cambridge, Mass. and Orion Research in Boston. George was a graduate of both Wentworth Institute and Northeastern University. George was a proud member of the Marine Corp reserve for over 12 1/2 years. He was an accomplished home brewer, winning numerous local awards and 1st place in his category in 2005 in the Sam Adams annual home brew off national contest.

George leaves behind his wife Judy of 23 years, his daughter Melissa Constanti and Elizabeth Constanti both of Dedham. George is the son of Costas Constanti of West Roxbury, and the late Pepista (Marakas) Constanti also of West Roxbury. He was a beloved Uncle of many nieces and nephews and a loved cousin and friend to many.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, Wednesday, Feb. 13th at 10 AM with a funeral service in St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, Belgrade Ave., Roslindale, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, Feb. 11th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and again on Tuesday, Feb. 12th from 7-9 PM. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury.
