West Boylston

Muriel E. (Parmenter) Jacobson died Wed., Feb. 6 in West Boylston.
She was born on Nov. 1, 1922 in Marlborough, daughter of George and Eva (Loisell) Parmenter and graduated from David Hale Fanning Trade School in Worcester. Muriel married Warren H. Jacobson on Oct. 16, 1943. During WWII, she worked at the Norton Abrasives Company as a lathe operator and later served as cafeteria manager at the Helen C. Mixter Elementary School in West Boylston. She enjoyed camping, spending many summers and making friends at Sebago Lake, Maine and down on Cape Cod, and she wintered in Zepherhills, Florida. Muriel enjoyed knitting and making crafts.
She is survived by her husband, Warren H.; two sons, Paul of Rutland and Robert and his wife JoAnn of Andover; two grandchildren, Marcie Jacobson of North Andover and Mark and his wife Jennifer of Iowa City, IA; a great-grandson, Russell Warren of Iowa City, IA; and her brother, Robert of California. She is predeceased by her son Gary Jacobson and her sister Betty Beaudray.
