Mary Norton Rosa Mary Norton Rosa, 86, Clarksville, died Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 9 am Saturday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Rev. Larry Spraker officiating. Burial will be in Sango Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Friday and from 8 am until the hour of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born December 5, 1921 in Scotland County, North Carolina daughter of the late Daniel Norton and Mamie Peele Norton. Ms. Rosa was a member of Park Lane Church of the Nazarene for over 40 years where she served on the church board, taught Sunday School, and worked in the nursery. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. She is survived by a son, Bob Rosa, Clarksville; three daughters, Donna Rosa, Rutledge, TN; Toni Batson (Tommy), and Sandy Stevenson (Bob), Clarksville; a daughter-in-law, Ann Rosa, Clarksville; a brother, Marcus E. Norton (Nancy), Hamlet, NC; nine grandchildren, Cheryl Kiser, Cindy Drinnon, Dana Wallace, Lisa Allerkamp, Amy Abney, Natalie Stevenson, Jessica Batson, Emily Stevenson, and Kevin Batson; and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Betty Rosa Carter. Pallbearers will be Kevin Daniel Batson, Bob Stevenson, Tommy Batson, Ronnie Allerkamp, Rodney Kiser and Mike Norton.
