Isaac H. Bacon, age 80, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at his daughters residence in New Jersey after an extended illness. A native of Ludowici, he had resided most of his life in McIntosh County. He was a member of the American Legion in Darien and also a member of the V.F.W.; was an avid pool player and loved fishing. He was a self-employed building contractor and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1951-1953 during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Alfred and Shelly Bacon; surviving are his daughters Shelly Bacon of Darien and Kathy Bacon of New Jersey; one granddaughter: Angelina Bacon; four brothers, two sisters and other family members also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Isaac H. Bacon were held Wednesday, February 6, 2008 from the Pigot Branch Baptist Church with Reverend James Young officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
