TEWKSBURY - Daniel S. "Dan" Glover, age 58, died Wednesday, February 6, at his Tewksbury home, surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous three month battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was born in the Jamaica Plain section of Boston on April 14, 1949, and was raised by Loretta and Charles McCann in Somerville. He graduated from the Somerville Trade School and went on to Wentworth Technical School in Boston. He moved his family to Tewksbury 16 years ago.
He worked for Dewberry company, an architectural design firm, for the past 40 years as a design engineer.
He was a member of the Everett Knights of Columbus, and was described by his family as having loved his home, yard work, backyard cookouts around the pool ending in bonfires, and listening to the Golden Oldies radio programming.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Angela M. (Tierno) Glover, with whom he had celebrated a 36th wedding anniversary this past September 5th; four children, Angela M. Auger and her husband Jason of Hudson, NH, Michael S. Glover of Tewksbury, Kristi L. Chinappi and her husband Thomas of Dracut, Jason D. Glover of Tewksbury; a daughter-in-law, Patricia (Getrost) Glover of Billerica; four grandchildren, Jake, Brandon, Jordan, and Miley; a sister, Mary C. Maillet and her husband Francis of Methuen; his father in law, Mario Tierno of Tewksbury, and his wife the late Esther (Danieli) Tierno; and many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service was held Saturday, Feb. 9, in the funeral home. Burial followed in Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation; PanCAN, 2141 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 7000, El Segundo, CA 90245, or www.pancan.org will be appreciated.
