Pauline L. Bason

COPE, S.C. - Pauline L. (Bowley) Bason, age 84, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the Bamberg County Nursing Center, in S.C. after a short period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick Bason.
She was born in Whitefield, NH, on August 5, 1923, a daughter of the late Edward and Pauline (Edmonson) Bowley, and had lived in Tewksbury, MA, until moving to Milford NH in 1995, and most recently, Cope, S.C..
She was retired from the American Mutual Insurance Company, where she had worked as a clerk typist.
She is survived by a daughter, Genevieve "Genny" Wood-Eustace of 155 Avalon Court, Cope, SC, a son, Ronald "Ronny" Bason, of 155 Avalon Court, Cope, SC; a sister, Caroline Zinnoni of Pelham, NH; a brother, John Bowley of CA; and a sister-in-law, Greta Bowley of Tewksbury. She had three grandsons, Art, Curt and Roger as well as six great grandsons and two great grandaughters, all of SC. She was also mother of the late Janeal Bason and sister of the late Marie Johnson, Elizabeth Smith, Betty Pallazola, Edward Bowley Jr., Anastasia Poor, Mary Small, and Josephine Rideout.
Following cremation, a Graveside Committal Service will be held, Friday, April 4, at 1:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Cemetery, East St. Tewksbury. At her request, visiting hours are omitted.
