In Taunton, February 5, 2008 Jayma M. died in Morton Hospital after a brief illness at the age of 50. Jayma was the longtime companion of William King of Taunton. She was born in Taunton to her late parents James H. & Ruth M. (Mclaughlin) McCarthy. Jayma has lived her entire life in Taunton, most recently on Ashland St. She was educated in Taunton schools, graduating from Taunton High School. Jayma then attended and graduated from Pondville Hospital School of Nursing in Walpole & Cape Cod Community College in Hyannis. Jayma showed a dedication & love to her profession and Morton Hospital. She worked until her health allowed with 25 years service there. Jayma loved shopping, traveling and animals. Jayma leaves her beloved sisters Maryann McCarthy of Taunton, Kelly Guaraldi & her husband Peter of Lakeville. Her nephew Peter J. Guaraldi of Lakeville and several cousins. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton on Sat., Feb. 9th at 10am. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church in Taunton at 11am. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to visiting hours on Friday from 4-7pm. Interment is private at the request of the family.
