Ms. Dorothy L. H. Collins was born in Huntsville, Alabama on October 20, 1926. The daughter of Gertrude Bradley and Hillary Hereford, both of whom preceded her in death.
Ms. Dorothy L. H Collins was a devoted member of St. Bartley Church for over 50 years. She was a member of the Senior Usher Board, the Brothers’ and Sisters’ Auxiliary and the Senior Citizens organization.
Ms. Collins departed this life on Monday, February 4, 2008 at the age of 81.
Ms. Dorothy L. H. Collins survivors include a great nephew, Robert G. Morris and four great-great nephews and two great great nieces all of Alabama. She also leaves a host of dear friends and loved ones to cherish her memories.
Funeral services for Mrs. Collins will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2008 from the St. Bartley Primitive Baptist Church, 3020 Belafonte Avenue, NW in Huntsville, AL. Interment will be in Northside Cemetery. The remains of Ms. Collins will be in the church one hour prior to funeral time.
