Obituary

Kenneth F. Macolini, 63 of S. Easton died Jan. 30 in Florida. He was the husband of Margaret (Lavelle) Randall and the son of the late Anna (Gentile) and Pat Macolini. He grew up in Arlington, enlisted in the Navy, and served during Vietnam aboard the U.S.S. Boston. He was an air compressor mechanic, later moving into sales and systems design. In 1992, he established Boat Maintenance and Repair Co.

Ken enjoyed the friendship of other boating enthusiasts as a past commodore of Dorchester Yacht Club and a member of Taunton Yacht Club and Bokeelia Boating Club. He often sailed the coast of Maine, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Recently, he traveled cross-country by motor home to Canada and Mexico, and chartered Caribbean sailing trips. He wintered on Pine Island (Bokeelia), FL.

Ken is survived by his children Lynne Macolini of Stoughton and Kirk Macolini of Ithaca, NY, his stepdaughters Debra Casey of Carver and Paula Sabina of Sharon, grandchildren Aaron Macolini, Dennis and Eric Casey, and Krista, Joseph, and Michael Sabina, and his beloved dog Shaggy.

Visiting hours are Thurs. 5-8pm at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St., (Rte123) Brockton. On Fri. 7:45am is a procession to St. James Church, Stoughton for Mass at 9am. Burial with military honors at the National Cemetery in Bourne, MA is at 11:15 am.
