BLAKESLEE, JANICE D. (nee CALLAGHAN), 87 of Oradell formerly of New York City and Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ passed away on Sunday, February 3rd, 2008. Beloved wife of Edward E.
Devoted mother of Edward E. Jr., and his wife Carol and of David B. Blakeslee. Loving grandmother of Brigid.
Janice graduated from the Weequahic High School, Newark and the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts. She was a docent at the NY Historical Society Museum at Gracie Mansion during the Koch administration. Janice achieved the level of “Journeyman” at the Isabel O’Neil Studio, New York City. She was an avid world traveler throughout her life.
Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Rd., Oradell. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
