Eleanor (Fitzgerald) Custer, 92, died Thursday, January 31, 2008, at St John’s Center, Kearney, Nebraska.
She was born October 26, 1915, in North Andover Massachusetts, and was the daughter of Michael F. and Catherine W. (McCarthy) Fitzgerald.
She earned her degree at Posse - Nissen School of Physical Education, in Kendall MA and later taught physical education around the Boston area.
During WWII she volunteered as a driver for military personnel in San Francisco. Eleanor, was a dedicated homemaker and an accomplished golfer. She lived in many places all across the country during her lifetime.
In Her Life: Surviving relatives include one son Raymond T. Custer, Jr. of Chester Springs, PA, one daughter, Rosemary C. Glazier of Kearney, NE and her husband Stephen D. Glazier, one granddaughter Catherine, and one great granddaughter, as well as one sister, Ursula F. Davey of Alexandria, VA.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, February 9, 2008 at St. Anselm Abbey Church, 100 St. Anselm Drive, Goffstown, NH.
Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery 448 Donald St., Bedford, NH.
