W. Edward Burlington, 76, of Manchester, NH, died Saturday, February 2, 2008 in his home. Mr. Burlington was born in Waltham, MA on August 23, 1931, a son of the late Warren E. and Charlotte (Smith) Burlington. He was a resident of Manchester for the past 15 years, formerly living in Salem, NH. Mr. Burlington was a US Navy veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a truck driver for Prince Macaroni for 38 years, retiring in 1991. Mr. Burlington was a member of the American Legion in Manchester, and he enjoyed automobiles, motorhomes and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly N. Burlington of Manchester; one son, Russell Burlington of Belmont, NH; two daughters, Sheree Burlington of Manchester, and Dina Niskala of Salem; three grandchildren, Taylor Niskala, Reid Niskala, and Neal Burlington.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Friday, February 8th from 6 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Private burial was in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Assoc. of Manchester & Southern NH, 1850 Elm St., Manchester, NH 03104.
