Obituary



Norman J. Berard, Jr., 53, of 272 Howe Street died Friday,
Feb. 1 in his home after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 30 years Karen A. (Giguere) Berard, three sons
Timothy D. Berard of North Brookfield, Kevin F. Berard and his long time companion Nicole of North Brookfield
and Dennis R. Brooks and his wife Linda of Spencer, a sister Cheryl Reynolds
and her husband Daniel of Spencer, three grandchildren Brian, Johnathan &
Kylie, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He is
pre-deceased by a sister Debra J. Thompson. He was born in Spencer the son of the late Norman J. and (Edith (Stone) Berard, Sr..
Norman worked as a shipper for 20 years at Howe Lumber Co.. He was a
part-time Police Officer in the Town of East Brookfield. He was a former
member of the East Brookfield Fire Dept. with over twenty years of service.
He owned and operated Norm's Shiner Shack. He enjoyed hunting, fishing,
going to the casino and scratch tickets.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, Feb. 6 from J.HENRI MORIN & SON
FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. John
the Baptist Church, North Brookfield Rd., East Brookfield. Burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery, East Brookfield. Calling hours are Tuesday from
4:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: VNA
