Jennie (Barbero) Riendeau, 94, of New Bedford died Thursday January 31, 2008 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late George K. Riendeau.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Peter and Eugenia (Baratta) Barbero, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, where she was a member of the Women's Guild and the Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Riendeau was formerly employed by Barbero's Sub Shop in Fairhaven for 25 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara J. Holden of New Bedford and Carol Champagne and her husband Michael of Florida; five grandchildren, Peter Holden and his wife Naomi, Polly Daniel, David Champagne, Gary Champagne and his wife Ruby, and Robyn Burnett; and eight great-grandchildren.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours omitted. For online condolence book, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
