Obituary

WORCESTER-May (Dunlop) Sullivan, 93, formerly of Auburn, died Wednesday, January 30th in Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her husband, James J. Sullivan, died in 1974 and her son, William C. Beaucamp died in 1957. She leaves many close and special nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, including Gerald A. Dunlop and Patricia A. Hanaford, who were also her godchildren. Six brothers, James, Wilson, Thomas, Edwin, George and Everett Dunlop and four sisters, Emma Heckbert, Isabelle St. Pierre, Doris Jibouleau and Esther Brown predeceased her.

She was born in Palmer on May 5, 1914, the daughter of Wilson and A. Jane (Moffatt) Dunlop. Mrs. Sullivan was employed by Worcester State Hospital for 18 years as a mental health assistant until her retirement in 1978 and had also been employed at Handy Pad. She was a former member of St. Joseph’s Church in Auburn and was a member of North American Martyrs Church in Auburn and AFSCME. Mrs. Sullivan was a seamstress, cake decorator and loved to knit. The family would like to thank the staff of Holy Trinity and the Holy Trinity Hospice for the exceptional care and comfort they provided to May at this difficult time.

The funeral is Tuesday, February 5th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held from 8:30 until 9:30 the morning of the funeral in the funeral home.
