Mrs. Rena P. DeStefanis, 85 of Medford, died Wednesday in Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford. Wife of the late John DeStefanis.
Born in Bath, ME, daughter of the late Henry I. and Lillian (Ruttenberg) Gediman, she is a graduate of Morse High School in Bath ME.
In earlier years, she worked as an office clerk for several area insurance companies.
Mrs. DeStefanis was a member of Medford Forever Young Club. She enjoyed dancing, had a keen sense of humor and a most positive outlook on life. She will be remembered as a very encouraging individual, always trying to help the ones around her.
She is the beloved aunt of Sarah McPherson of Georgia, Teresa Cronin of Belmont, Anna Binda of R.I. and Tom Ferrante of Arlington. Cousin of David Ruttenberg and his wife Gail of Auburn ME. Richard Ruttenberg of VA., Sheila Lipham of FL. Dear friend and helper of Viola Rulli of Medford. Sister of the late Milton and Edwin Gediman.
Funeral Services will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street Medford, on Monday at 11 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at10 am. Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
