Mary E. (Fogg) Bonjokian, 77 years died Tuesday evening at New England Medical Center after a period of failing health. She was the loving wife for 45 years of George J. Bonjokian. She was born in Boston and raised in Brockton a daughter of the late George Samuel Fogg and Bernice (Cox) Fogg. She had been resident of Brockton for most of her life and was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1948. Twenty years ago she retired as trust officer from Bank of New England (formerly the Plymouth Home National Bank) in downtown Brockton and in Plymouth. Mary was a multi talented woman who enjoyed reading, camping, feeding the birds, sewing and crewel work. She also enjoyed bowling and belonged to a mixed league at Westgate Lanes. First and foremost her family was most important to her. For most of her life she was a member of the Central United Methodist Church where she served in many capacities.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Bruce Zeller and his wife Ruth of Chatham and Gary Zeller and his wife Doreen of Bridgewater. She was the grandmother “Memer” to Michael and Paul Zeller. She was the sister of Jean Cherry of New Brunswick and survived by two nephews and a niece.
Visiting hours in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Friday 5-8 pm. Funeral Service in the Pentecost United Methodist Church, 380 W. Chestnut St., Brockton Saturday at 10am.
