Lowell, Ma. – Robert P. Bard, 59, died Wednesday January 30, 2008 at the Lowell Health Care Center.
Born in Lincoln, Maine, Robert was the son of the late Patrick and Theresa (Cyr) Bard.
Mr. Bard was a graduate of Lawrence High School.
Robert had been employed as a Carpenter Foreman at Local #40
During the Vietnam War he served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal, before being honorably discharged.
He was a member of the Salem Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8546, and in Lawrence was Coach of their Youth Hockey League.
The widower of Therese B. (Charest) Bard; Robert is survived by two daughters Kimberly and Tanya Bard, of Methuen and Florida, four sisters; Carol & Richard Naiman of Methuen, Mary & Marty Kool of Arizona Linda & Michael Walls of Deerfield, NH, and Cynthia & John Rumore of Methuen one brother Steven & Luce Bard of Methuen, three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, Stepmother; Stella Bard, Two stepbrothers; Richard and Robert White.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Sarturday morning at 9 o’clock in Saint Monica’s Church with burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery of Lawrence.
Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
