E. Charles Hoffman of Duxbury, formerly of Wellesley and Dedham, died January 29, 2008. He was 90 years old. He was the beloved husband of Jane (Neale) Hoffman for 63 years.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Camillus and Winifred (Mayne) Hoffman. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the United States Army Air Force. He worked as a heavy equipment salesman for Clapper Co. of West Newton.
He was the devoted father of Donna E. Hoffman of Atlanta, GA, Charles N. Hoffman of Norwood, Jane H. Barr of Washington D.C., Mary Ellen Hoffman of Quakertown, PA and Robert E. Hoffmann of Atlanta, GA. He was the brother of E. David Hoffmann of Vero Beach, FL. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held in the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., Wellesley, on Friday at 1:30 PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
