Jack A. “Jake” McKenna, 70 of Medford, died Sunday in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford, Massachusetts. Born in Brunswick, Maine, he has lived in Medford for the past 40 years and was the son of the late Muriel (Morris) and John McKenna. Jack retired in 2003 from Controller Service and Sales in Avon, Massachusetts from the sales department where he had worked for many years. He also was a late U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion Post 45, the DAV of Somerville, the Irish-American Club in Malden, the Stoneham Elks Lodge 2211. He also was an avid golfer.
Beloved husband of Sandra (Caggiano) McKenna. Devoted father of Deborah Vozikis and her husband Thomas of Burlington, Darlene McKenna, Kevin McKenna, and Denise McKenna all of Medford. Loving grandfather of Jerry and Jack Diaz, Zach and Jacob Vozikis, and Shanna McKenna. Brother of Edward McKenna of Maine, Robert McKenna of Virginia and the late William and Kenneth McKenna. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 10 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
