Townsend- Mrs. Mary Idell “Dell” Deal, age 85 of Townsend, died Monday, January 28th, 2008 at Hospice of Savannah after an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of McIntosh County and was of the Pentecostal faith. She is survived by one daughter, Vicky Douglas and husband Kenny, of Townsend and one son, Wayne Deal and wife Mary of Townsend; two sisters, Edna Ryals of Riceboro and Jessie Robson of Townsend; one brother, Colonel Howard of Riceboro; three grandchildren, two great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 30th, 2008, at 2:30 pm from the Davis Cemetery in McIntosh County, with the Reverend Danny Stillwell officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 pm from the NeSmith Room of Howard-Jones-Nobles Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Sam Clarke, Stacy Deal, Edward Deal, Velton Robson, Clinton Ryals, and David Ryals.
