Obituary

DUDLEY – Elizabeth L. “Betty” (Hockenson) Strzelewicz, 74, of 388 Mason Road, died Sunday, January 27, in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester.

She leaves her husband of 37 years, Peter A. Strzelewicz; two daughters, Elizabeth L. “Betty” Blodgett and her husband Michael G. of Webster, and Stephanie George and her husband George H. of Oxford; 2 grandchildren, Kate Bromley of Westville, NJ and Andrew Bromley of Webster; nieces, nephews and many friends. Her first husband, Stephen P. Kwiecinski, died in 1964.

She was born in Cumberland, RI, the only child of Albert and Loretta (Lemay) Hockenson and lived in Dudley most of her life. She attended Saint Louis High School in Webster.

Along with her husband, Mrs. Strzelewicz co-owned and operated Art Craft Screen Printing.

She was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Church. Many years ago, she was a volunteer in Girl Scout activities and in the Webster-Dudley Girls Club. Her family was her treasure.

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 11:00 AM with a Mass at Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road. Calling hours will be from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Tuesday, January 29, in the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster. Donations in her name may be made to either the Scleroderma Foundation, 12 Kent Way, Suite 101, Byfield, MA 01922, or to the American Heart Association, Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
