James H. "Jimmy" Muise
...Decorated WWII Canadian Army Veteran, 82

TEWKSBURY - James Muise, age 82, a long time resident of Tewksbury passed away Jan. 27 at a local nursing home after a long period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Frances G. (Benaglia) with whom he would have celebrated his fiftieth wedding anniversary on September first this year.
He was born July 25, 1925 in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, a son of the late Joseph and Delsy (Babine) Muise. During WWII, he served in France and Belgium and was wounded during the liberation of Holland. He received an Associates degree in mechanical engineering from Lowell Technical College, and worked at Specialty Automatic Machine in Burlington before retiring.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Anne Marie and her husband Nelson Lavoie, Sr. of Methuen, Michelle Muise of Tewksbury, Jeanne and her husband Duane Martin of Tewksbury; a grandson, Nelson Lavoie Jr. and his fiancee Andrea Pennucci both of Methuen; a granddaughter, Jayme Martin of Tewksbury; a great granddaughter Ashlee Lavoie of Methuen; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Martin of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia and Mrs. Theresa Maynard of Manchester, NH; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Dennis, Joseph, and Arthur Muise and Rose Surette.

His Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, Jan. 30, in St. William's Church, Tewksbury. Burial followed at Tewksbury Cemetery, Tewksbury. Memorials to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 will be appreciated.
