Obituary

LOWELL: Albert D. Rowe, age 86, a resident of Lowell for over 70 years, died Friday, January 25, 2008 at Saints Medical Center.
He was the husband of Beatrice (Jones) Rowe, with whom he would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on June 24th.
Born in Dracut on February 18, 1921, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Ida (Broyers) Rowe.
Mr. Rowe was raised in Dracut and attended Dracut schools.
According to his family, he served during World War II in the U.S. Army.
Prior to his retirement, he worked as a delivery driver and fish cutter for the former Hoare Fish Market of Lowell.
Mr. Rowe resided in the Centraville area of Lowell for over 40 years and later resided at the River Place Housing Community until moving to the Towne House Housing Community in downtown Lowell.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Judith A. Miller of Tewksbury; two grandchildren, Greg B. Miller and his wife Janet of Wilmington and Lynda S. Miller of Tewksbury; two great grandchildren, Atley and Layne Miller both of Wilmington.
Mr. Rowe was pre-deceased by four brothers and seven sisters and was the father-in-law of the late Glenn T. Miller, who died February 1, 2006.
Services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 29th, at 10 a.m., at the Chapel at St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Rd., Tewksbury. At the request of the family there are No Calling Hours. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 are suggested. Arrangements entrusted to Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, Tewksbury.
