Gerard G. Lavoie, 72, of Candia died January 26, 2008 at Kindred Hospital in Peabody, MA after a brief illness.
Born in Manchester on November 2, 1935, he was the son of Wilfred and Domitilda (Shiney) Lavoie. He lived in Candia for many years.
Mr. Lavoie worked as a master carpenter and later as maintenance supervisor at the Henry W. Moore School in Candia for many years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and time spent with his family. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
The family includes his wife of 53 years, Jeannine C. (Racine) Lavoie of Candia; three children, Michael B. Lavoie of Hooksett, Lynda A. Byrne of Candia and Kenneth G. Lavoie of Northwood; five grandchildren and one great grandson; a sister, Florence Doucet of Florida and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Wednesday January 30, 2008 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester.
