Rosa Gloria (Martins) Medeiros, age 91. Former spouse of the late Serafim T. Medeiros. Daughter of the late Manuel Martins Vale & Maria Jose de Medeiros. Passed away in Fall River Jan. 26, 2008. Born in Sao Vicente, Sao Miguel, Azores. She was a Fall River resident since 1948 & a former member of St. Elizabeth Church. Before retiring in 1981, she was a Presser at various garment industry shops & a member of the I.L.G.W.U.
She is survived by l Son: Arthur M. Medeiros of Fall River. 3 Siblings all of Fall River: Jose Vale, Belmira Rezendes, & Conceicao Tavares. Many nieces & nephews. She was sister of the late Manuel, Antonio, & Joao Vale, Deolinda Sousa, & Maria Luzia Cabral.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Wednesday at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Michael Church at 10:00 AM. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 5-8 PM.
