Fred “Junior” Stegall, 68, of Fitzgerald died Saturday, January 26, 2008 .
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Hand officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 PM on Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Stegall was born May 18, 1939 in Anderson, South Carolina to the late Fred and Blanche Gilreath Stegall. He was a former employee of Fitzgerald Mills, Tifton Cotton Mill, Anderson Mills (South Carolina) and Owens Paving Company. He was also Co-owner of the Chicken Coop Cafe. Mr. Stegall was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Stegall is survived by his wife: Peggy Owens Stegall, Fitzgerald; Son: Scott (Renee) Stegall of Fitzgerald; Daughter: Kim (Dennis) Farmer of Fitzgerald; 4 Grandchildren; 2 Sisters: Nellie Graham of Highland, Park, Illinois and Linda (Ross) Sanders of Anderson, South Carolina; Brother: Wally (Susie) Stegall of Beach Park, Illinois.; and several Nieces and Nephews, including special nephew Butch Graham. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
