Stig Bjorklund, 89

Worcester—Stig Bjorklund, 89, of 118 Elm St., a former baker, died January 13, at home.

His wife of over 50 years, Annalisa (Willhelmson) Bjorklund, died in 1994. He leaves a niece, Elisabeth Borgstrom of Stockholm, Sweden. He was born in Jonkoping, Sweden, son of Knut O. and Kerstin (Johnson) Bjorklund. Mr. Bjorklund was a baker at various bakeries, including the former Ryan’s Bakery.

He was a member of John Ericson Lodge 25, Vasa Order of America, Scottish Rite, Valley of Boston, Past District Masters Club, Montacute Lodge, AF & AM; Order of the Eastern Star; Aleppo Temple, Worcester County Shrine Club, Swedish American Council of Boston; Scandinavian Athletic Club; Swedish National Federation; and the Greendale Retired Men’s Club. He enjoyed stamp collecting.

After cremation, graveside services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, February 1, in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours.
