Jeffrey W. Santos, 56, of New Bedford died Thursday January 24, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Yvonne M. (Campbell) Santos.
Born in New Bedford, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
Mr. Santos was formerly employed as a chemical processor at Polaroid, and later worked as an interior house painter.
Survivors include wife; his mother, Evelyn "Vivian" (Santos) Silva of New Bedford; two children, Kim Santos and her fiance´ John Pina and Dion Santos and his fiancée Jaime Pina, all of New Bedford, a brother, Curtis M. Silva and his wife Debra of New Bedford; his grandchildren, Lexi Shae, Kelsey Janae, Chy-Anne Marie, Terrell Jayce, and Nevaeh Shae; his aunts, Adelaide Gilmette and Shirley Silva, both of New Bedford, Ilda DePina of Fairhaven, and Tillie Roderick of Falmouth; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
He was the son of the late Richard Sylvia, stepson of the late Carl Silva, grandson of the late Sebastian "Bach" and Mary "Maria Bach" Santos, and nephew of the late Anna Dash and Joseph Santos.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
