CHELMSFORD—M. Barbara (Galvin) Moulton, 73 years old, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, died unexpectedly, early Thursday morning, January 24th, at the Brigham & Women’s Medical Center, in Boston. She was the beloved wife of Charles F. Moulton, with whom she celebrated 45 years of marriage last year.
She was born in Lowell, MA, on March 24, 1934, a daughter of the late Joseph F. and Marguerite M. (Boland) Galvin, Sr., and was a graduate of the Sacred Heart Grammar School and Lowell High School, where she served as a Girl Officer.
Surviving her besides her husband are two sons and daughters-in-law: James F. and Christine Moulton, of Andover; and Robert J. and Kristin Moulton, of Chelmsford; a daughter and son-in-law: Barbara M. and Thomas Kayajan, of Westford; five grandchildren: Billy, Julia, Addison, Riley, and Brooke Moulton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Thomas C. Moulton, who died in 1996 and sister of the late Joseph F. Galvin, Jr.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Monday, January 28th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Mass to be offered on Tuesday, January 29th at 11 AM at ST. MARY’S CHURCH, Chelmsford.
