Opal E. Lacoste, 89

Opal E. (Paul) Lacoste, 89, of Portsmouth formerly of Attleboro died on Wednesday January 23, 2008 at the Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Portsmouth. She was the beloved wife of the late Leon P. Lacoste.
Born in New Bedford, MA on October 7, 1918 she was a daughter of the late George and Nancy (Newell) Paul.
She grew up and was educated in Attleboro Public Schools, she later moved to North Reading where she lived for many years before returning to Attleboro where she again resided for 16 years before moving to Portsmouth.
A loving homemaker to her family, Opal was a devout Christian and had formerly attended the Assembly of God Church in South Attleboro. Her family will always remember her wonderful skills as a seamstress and her caring ways.
She is survived by her sons Paul J. Lacoste and his wife Susan G. Lacoste of New Hampshire and Carl A. Lacoste of Wakefield. She was the mother of the late Nancy M. Lacoste and was the sister of the late Wilmar Paul, also survived by her granddaughter Laurie A. Lacoste and her husband James A. Young, Jr. of Rochester, New Hampshire and her great granddaughter Amber.
Graveside funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday January 29th at 10:00 A.M. at the Riverside Cemetery on Elm St. in North Reading, burial will follow.
Visiting hours are omitted.
