AUBURN__Anna D. (Jurgelionis) Sakalowsky, 90, of Auburn died Wednesday January 23 in Life Care Center of Auburn. Her husband, Peter P. Sakalowsky died in 1981.
She leaves a son, Dr. Peter P. Sakalowsky, Jr. and his wife Grace of Madison, CT., a daughter, Jane M. Kwiatkowski and her husband Carl of Spencer; a sister, Julia Sanders, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, John and Peter, a sister, Mary Jurgelionis and a great-grandson, Romeo Sakalowsky. Anna was born in Worcester, a daughter of Bartholemew and Mary (Palevicius) Jurgelionis and lived in Auburn for 54 years.
Mrs. Sakalowsky was a sales clerk for Cherry & Webb Co. for many years prior to retiring in 1980. She graduated from the former Commerce High School in Worcester. She was a former member of St. Casimir Church, Worcester.
The funeral will be held on Saturday January 26, from HENRY - DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday January 25, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
