Caroline J. (Manson) Bregnard, 75, of North Attleboro formerly of Mansfield died on Wednesday January 23, 2008 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the former wife of the late Alfred M. Bregnard, Jr.
Born in Mansfield, MA on July 25, 1932 she was a daughter of the late Alexander Manson and the late Ruth (Benson) Booth and Fred Booth.
She grew up in Mansfield and was educated in Mansfield Public Schools. Mrs. Bregnard had worked for 12 years as an Office Manager for the Mansfield Department of Public Works before retiring in 1986.
A member of the First Christian Church in West Mansfield, she had also served as a former Mansfield Library Trustee and was a former member of the Mansfield Council on Aging.
Caroline’s favorite times spent were those in the presence of her loving family and she had a special place in her heart for animals. She had made her home in North Attleboro for the past 23 years and was formerly of her native town of Mansfield.
She is survived by her devoted children; Pamela D. Bonneau-Kaehler of Plainville, Alfred M. Bregnard, III of Mansfield, Scott W. Bregnard, Sr. of Weymouth and Frederic J. Bregnard of Pawtucket, R.I., her sisters; Helen M. Ramsey of Tampa, Florida, Theodorica T. Sousa of Attleboro, Mary-Louise Brown of Port Richie, Florida and Dorothy M. Najjar of Mansfield, also survived by her cherished grandchildren; Courtney, Scott, Jr., Thomas, Richard and William as well as several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield in the spring on a date and time to be announced later.
Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, Caroline’s family has requested that donations in her memory may be made to the MSPCA 350 South Huntington Ave. Boston, MA 02130.
