Claire F. (Sullivan) Lundin, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died on Wednesday January 23, 2008 at her home in Charlestown after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was 55 years old.
Claire was born in Boston on July 5, 1952. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended St. Francis De Sales Parochial School, the Clarence R. Edwards Middle School and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1970. Claire was a homemaker who dedicated her short life to her children, grandchildren and siblings. She loved to decorate especially interior decorating, she also loved to read and was especially known as a nanny for taking care of her grandchildren and many other children in the neighborhood. Claire loved people and would be seen at Johnnies Foodmaster greeting people most of any day.
Claire is the devoted mother of Margaret "Peggy" DiChara, Shannon Lundin both of Charlestown, Lauren Lundin and her husband Dan of Everett and Kevin Lundin and his wife Nancy of Salem. She is the loving grandmother of Cassady Sullivan, Laneigh Lundin-Monaco, Kylie Lundin and Noah Avelar. She is the beloved daughter of the late John F. and Margaret (Kerins) Sullivan. She is the beloved sister of Deborah Sullivan of California, Michael Sullivan, Gail Sullivan, Garry Sullivan, Patrick Sullivan and John Sullivan all of Charlestown.
Claire's Funeral will be held on Saturday January 26, 2008 at 9 a.m. from The Frank H. Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Relatives & friends are invited. Visiting hours for Claire will be on Friday January 25, 2008 from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
