Obituary

William Harrison, 98, of Salem NH died unexpectedly Wednesday Jan. 23rd at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH after complications from surgery

William was born and educated in Lawrence, MA, the son of the late Katherine (Maguire) and John Harrison. He worked at American Woolen Co. in Andover for 29 years then at the State Liquor Store in Salem, NH. He also worked in Security at Rockingham Park in Salem for over 60 years and was honored by the IBEW for 50 years of service. William continued to work at the track into his mid-nineties.

William was a member of the Arlington Club in Lawrence, MA and Spicket Lodge #85 F & AM in Salem, NH. He enjoyed bowling and was the Duckpin Champion for the City of Lawrence for 4 years in a row. William enjoyed playing poker and traveling and spent many winters in Florida. He was an avid Red Sox Fan who never missed a game in his ninety eight years.

William was predeceased by his wife Alexina (Thomson) Harrison, his son Ronald and his grandson John.

Nancy & her Husband Allan McClure of Derry, NH

Great Grandsons: Richard Cloutier and James Burgess of Derry, NH
Several Nieces and Nephews

Calling hours will be Friday, Jan. 25 from 4-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.

The Funeral Service will be Saturday, Jan. 26 at 9:30 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover, MA.
