Ronald D. McKechnie Sr., 62 of Derry, NH died Monday January 21, 2008 at his home. Mr. McKechnie was born in Augusta, ME on November 10, 1945 the son of the late Earl L. and Florence M. (Choate) McKechnie. He was a US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping as well as spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Shirley A. McKechnie, three sons, Robert J. McKechnie and his wife Sharon, Ronald D. McKechnie Jr., David A. McKechnie and his wife Kelly, three daughters, Carolyn M. Labrie and her husband Frank, Michelle D. Vaillancourt, Katherine L. McKechnie, twelve grandchildren, Robert McKechnie Jr., Kaitlin McKechnie, Richard and Samantha Andrews, Zachariah Letendre, James and Danielle Vaillancourt, Sabrina Andino, Daryl Gurley Jr. and Chantel Gurley, Jacob McKechnie and David McKechnie Jr., two sisters, Polly Cram and Earlene Emmons, one brother, Lysandra McKechnie.
Calling hours were held on Friday January 25, 2008 from 5 to 7pm with a service following at 7:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Cremation will follow.
