Bernice F. (Hill) Morrissey, 86, died Monday, January 21 at the Braemoor Rehab. And Nursing Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late James J. Morrissey, Sr. Born in E. Boston, she was educated in E. Boston schools and graduated from Winthrop High School, Class of 1938. She was a resident of Stoughton since 1952. Mrs. Morrissey was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, James J. Morrissey, Jr., Elizabeth Forger and Anne Hoffman all of Stoughton, Mary Kelley of Bridgewater, Margaret Murphy of Fall River, Jean Nelson of Wrentham, Catherine Naujoks of VA and John Morrissey of E. Bridgewater. She was the sister of John Hill of FL, Lorraine Cunningham of CA and the late Ruth Kearney, Catherine McCarthy and Frederick Hill. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, January 25 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 3-7 PM. Burial will take place at the VA National Cemetery in Bourne. Donations in Bernice‘s memory may be made to Braemoor Resident Activity Fund, 34 N.
