SPENCER-Rose M. (Barbale) Bourbeau, 80, of Spencer, formerly of Worcester, died Tuesday, January 22nd in UMass Medical Center. Her husband of 43 years, Marcel A. Bourbeau died in 2002. She leaves two daughters, Gail S. Fortin of Overland Park, KS and Kathy R. Delongchamp of Spencer; a brother, Vincent Barbale of Worcester; a sister, Ann Barbale; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. Four brothers, George, Alfred, John and Carmine “Chic” Barbale and two sisters, Kathryn Bonner and Mary Norrman predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester on July 29, 1927, the daughter of Nicholas and Rose (Fabricatore) Barbale. Mrs. Bourbeau was employed by UMass Medical Center as a patient escort for 15 years and had previously been employed by Comfort Products for 10 years and Brown Shoe Company for 5 years as a cutter.
Calling hours are Thursday, January 24th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. A graveside service will be held Monday, January 28th at 10:00 AM in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
