Charles Shostack of Wilmington & Everett for 70 years, entered into eternal rest on January 21, 2008 at the Wilmington Health Care Center. He was 100 years old.
Born in Russia, the son of the late Tanchan & Lillian (Leshetz) Shostack, he was educated in the East Boston Schools & a graduate of East Boston High School. Charles was employed as a salesman in the Dry Goods industry for many years. He was a life member of Congregation Tifereth Israel of Everett as well as their Brotherhood, life member & associate member of the auxiliary of the Sisterhood of Congregation Tifereth Israel of Everett & Hadassah, and Past Chancellor of the Knights of Pythias – Bellingham Lodge #53. Charles received the most pleasure in life from spending time with his beloved family.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Martha (Fox) Shostack; his son, Kenneth Shostack & his wife Malka of Israel; his daughter. Nancy Murphy & her husband John of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Tammara Lee Shostack, Adam Shostack, Robin Shostack, Jodi LaVita, & her husband Jason, & Jill Murphy; & his great-grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah, & Sophia LaVita. Charles was the brother of the late Fannie Aaronson, Sophie Smith, Myer Shostek, & Yankov Shostack.
Funeral services will be held in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq) CHELSEA on Wed. January 23, 2008 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the New Tifereth Israel of Everett Cemetery, 232 Fuller St. Everett. Memorial observance will be held at the home of Nancy & John Murphy, Wilmington through Friday afternoon.
