Fall River - Raymond E. Grundy, Sr., 82, of Westport, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Southpointe Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center. He was the husband of the late Gladys M. (Walker) Grundy.
Born in Westport, son of the late Elmer R. and Elizabeth B. (Pettey) Grundy, he was a lifelong resident of Westport. Prior to retirement in 1984, he was a truck driver for Island Transportation in New Bedford. Mr. Grundy was a member of the First Baptist (Old Stone) Church, Tiverton, RI.
Survivors include a son: Raymond E. Grundy, Jr. of Westport; a brother: Albert Grundy of Westport; a sister: Florence Lees of Westport; 2 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late Walter Grundy.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, January 24, 2008 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.
Calling hours Wednesday 5 - 8 P.M.
Interment in Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton, RI.
