MARY E. (TIBERI) RAFFOL High School EducatorMary E. Raffol a life long resident of Needham died on Sunday Jan. 26 at her home after a lengthy illness at the age of 48. Born in Boston Mary graduated from Needham High School in 1972. She graduated from Salem State College in 1976 where she received her Bachelors Degree in Education and then received her Masters Degree in Education Technology from Leslie College in Cambridge in 1999. Mary taught at the Tri- County Regional Vocational Technical High School in Franklin for 10 years and currently was a teacher at Joseph P. Keefe Technical High School in Framingham. While at Keefe Mary was instrumental in developing Office Automation and taught business education for 16 years until June of 2002. In recognition of her outstanding character, scholarship and leadership qualities Mary was awarded the “Outstanding Educator” Award in May of 2002. She had numerous Professional Affiliations including Business Professionals of America, Keefe Teachers Educational Assoc., New England Assoc. of Teachers and Mass. Vocational Teachers Assoc. Mary also taught Sunday School at Our Lady of the Cedars of Lebanon ,was a member of the Maron Society , the AABA in West Roxbury and Our Lady Rosary Makers. Mary is survived by her beloved husband Kenneth J., loving mother of Natalie M. and Andrea L. Raffol. Daughter of Bernice (Cetrone) Tiberi of Needham and the late Louis Tiberi. Sister of Irene A. Riley of Las Vegas and Louise R. Tiberi of Needham. Mary was the daughter in law of Margaret Collins of Needham and sister in law of Robert , Martin and Joseph Raffol. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Cedars of Lebanon 61 Rockwood St. Jamaica Plain on Thursday Jan 30th at 10:00 A.M. Visiting hours at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave. Needham on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery in Needham. In lieu of flowers memorials in Mary’s memory may be made to Our Lady of the Cedars of Lebanon 61 Rockwood St. Jamaica Plain 02130 and to Health Care Dimensions
