Anthony P. Boris,90, of 4 Knollwood Rd., died suddenly Sunday,
Jan. 20 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after being stricken ill at his
home.
He leaves his wife of 62 years, Lillian M. (Skandall) Boris, two daughters
Linda M. Laflamme and her husband James of Northbridge, and Karen L. Boris
of Leicester, a sister Helen Kiritsy and her husband Theodore of Worcester,
three grandchildren Anthony Laflamme and his wife Michelle of Winchester,
N.H., Lisa and Robert Laflamme of Northbridge, two great grandchildren Logan
and Kayley Laflamme of Winchester, N.H., nieces and nephews. He is
predeceased by a daughter Sandra Boris in 1968.
Mr. Boris was a jewelry engraver for 60 years owning Boris Engraving in
Worcester before retiring in 1998.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Peter and Ursala (Alexandrovich) Boris.
He attended Commerce High in Worcester and later served his country in the
Navy during WWII.
Along with his wife, they traveled extensively throughout the world. He
loved his family, gardening and feeding the birds. He was an avid reader and
enjoyed watching his son in law drag racing both in Epping, N.H. and New
York.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 23 from the MORIN-MORRISON
FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Mass at 11a.m. in St. Pius X
Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow with Military Honors in
St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will precede the funeral on
Wednesday morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
