Margaret A. Reardon, 55 years, of Brockton, died unexpectedly January 19, 2008 at the Brockton Hospital. Daughter of the late Hugh and Edna (Buckley) Reardon, Margaret was born in Virginia, but spent the majority of her life in Brockton. She was an employee of Verizon Communication for 21 years and was a master barber who owned her own shop in the 1980’s called the “Razors Edge Hair Stylist”. Margaret’s biggest joy in life was making others laugh and smile. At her work location in Fall River, she was known as “The Candy Lady”. She brought smiles to all her co-workers on a daily basis with her basket of candy, fun jokes and uplifting views on life. Margaret loved board games, in particular “Yatzee” which she enjoyed for many years with her Mom Edna who was also her best friend.
Margaret is survived by her sister Nora and her husband Joe Heuston of Brockton, three brothers Hugh and his wife Margie of Madison, WI, Robert and his wife Carolyn of Brockton, Timothy and his wife Angela of Penn; her nieces and nephews David, Peter, Timothy, Kathy, Sean, Michael, Kevin, Dane and Julia; a sister-in-law Renee (Hollywood) Reardon; an aunt Marilyn Buckley; her beloved best friend and companion Denise Galatis of Brockton and many, many special friends. She was the sister of the late John and Patrick Reardon
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Parish/St. Edward Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-8pm.
