Barbara A. Steenson, 74 of Londonderry, NH died Friday January 18, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Steenson was born in Union City, NJ on October 9, 1933 the daughter of the late Marshall and Alice (Bubli) Stepanian. She had resided in Londonderry for the past 34 years, formerly living in N. Brunswick, NJ. Mrs. Steenson was a graduate of Jersey City State Teachers College and had been employed as a teacher in the Cresskill School District for many years. While living in Londonderry she taught preschool at the Londonderry Presbyterian Church and was president of Friends of Music at the Londonderry High School. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert S. Steenson of Londonderry, one daughter, Susan B. Steenson of Londonderry, two sons, Robert J. Steenson and his wife Linda of Canterbury, NH, Jeffrey E. Steenson and his wife Nancy of Danville, NH, two granddaughters, Anna Quinn Steenson and Joy Alexandra Steenson, her sister, Arveda Stepanian of Londonderry, also many nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Friday January 25, 2008 from 5–8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A memorial service was held on Saturday January 26th at 11:00am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gynecological Cancer Foundation, 230 W.
